Sigma 85mm 1.4 Art: Sigma Introduces A New Top Lens

In addition to the product announcements from Nikon, Olympus, Fujifilm and Canon, Sigma has also introduced new products. These are the 12-24 mm F4 DG HSM and 85 mm F1.4 DG HSM lenses belonging to the Art series. The third lens belongs to the Sports series and is designated 500 mm F4 DG OS HSM. All three lenses bear the designation DG and can be used for APS-C cameras as well as for KB full format cameras without any problems.

This lens also belongs to the Art series and is a classic portrait telephoto lens with its 85 mm focal length. The 85 mm F1.4 DG HSM Art, which is also designed for APS-C and KB full format cameras, is intended to meet the highest demands as a fast fixed focal length. This is ensured by lens elements with low dispersion and abnormal partial dispersion and high refractive index. These components are responsible for sharpness right to the edges. Like the 12-24 mm F4 DG HSM Art, the 85 mm F1.4 DG HSM Art is also equipped with the improved HSM autofocus motor.
